Four men were hurt in a five-vehicle crash shortly after noon Wednesday at the intersection of East U.S. 30 and Center Street in Warsaw.

A 33-year-old had minor bleeding to the head, was unconscious and had to be extricated from his pickup and taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. A 26-year-old complained of pain to the neck, and a 51-year-old complained of pain to the back, and both were taken to Parkview Hospital in Warsaw.

Damage was estimated at $10,000 to $25,000.

A witness said he was in the left travel lane westbound on U.S. 30 approaching the intersection when the pickup passed him on the right and then swerved back into the left lane, crashing into the stopped traffic waiting to turn southbound on East Center Street, according to a Warsaw Police Department accident report.

That stopped traffic included four vehicles.
