GOP caucus called to fill vacancy on Pierceton Town Council

WARSAW — Pierceton Town Council member Eric Trump has resigned and will be replaced with the help of a Republican caucus.

Plans for the caucus were announced Tuesday night by Kosciusko County Republican Party Chair Mike Ragan.

Ragan did not say in his news release why Trump chose to step down.

Trump was elected to town council in 2023.

The caucus will convene at 6 p.m. on June 20 at the Pierceton Town Council Chamber, 105 W. Walnut St., Pierceton.

Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw.

Deadline to file is 6 p.m. June 17.

Eligible candidates must reside in Pierceton, and be “a Republican in good standing.”
