A Goshen man accused of having sex with 15-year-old girl has been arrested… He's identified as 21 year-old Nathaniel Carpenter. Carpenter of Goshen is charged with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor. Cass County police began investigating when the victim’s mother reported her her daughter as a runaway last August. When the victim returned, she told police she left the house with Carpenter and had sex with him. The Elkhart Truth reports the two had met on Facebook… and that the victim would leave her home without her mother’s permission to watch movies with Carpenter at his home. HE admitted to police that he had sex with the 15-year-old Cass County girl, despite knowing she was underage. If convicted, Carpenter faces up to six years in prison.
