Grace College and Seminary President Dr. William Katip will take a short-term medical leave of absence, Dr. Drew Flamm, executive vice president, Grace Office of Advancement, confirmed by telephone Wednesday.
He said it would be “just a few weeks,” but was unable to provide any further information.
Welcome weekend for new students at Grace is Aug. 21-22, with classes beginning Aug. 25. Last day of fall courses is Dec. 10.
Katip became the sixth president of Grace College in May 2013. He moved back to Indiana in 2007 to become provost at Grace College.
