Updates to Grace Village’s assisted living dining area were celebrated Tuesday afternoon.

Members of the facility, along with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce were on hand with residents to commemorate the new area that now contains new furniture, new flooring and a facelift to the walls and ceiling. Grace Village CEO Justin Kimbrell, who came in as the new head earlier this year, says the project was one of the first things on his list.

The project had some slowdowns in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, but Kimbrell said they were able to work around some of those slower times to make sure it got done. He said those COVID restrictions at times allowed construction on the room to continue without having to worry about residents coming into those common areas.

Over $71,000 was raised for the upgrades, much of that was donated by residents according to Kimbrell.
