I-U men’s basketball coach Tom Crean earned nearly 3 million dollars last year, which puts him in 1st for highest paid, while his Purdue University's Matt Painter earned just more than $2 million that year for second place. Purdue University women’s basketball coach comes in 17th with a salary just under 600-thousand dollars. I-U president Michael McRobbie earned more than 850-thousand dollars last year. Six doctors from county hospitals also made the list, as well as seven executives from Citizens Energy Group, a utility services company which is classified a nonprofit public trust.
