The Sidney-Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department thanks GFL Environmental, Hoosier Landfill, for helping contribute to the fire department. The fire department is a small volunteer fire department with 20 volunteers who willingly donate their time and energy to serve and protect the residents in the responding area. Kosciusko County is building a new communication system for emergency services. There are going to be expenses for new equipment for the fire department to utilize this new system that the fire department doesn’t have enough of due to its small tax base. Hoosier Landfill stepped up to help keep the community safer with their monetary donation to help with the purchase of new radio equipment for the fire department. The fire department continues to look and strive for ways to better serve the community. Every little bit helps, and the fire department appreciates their financial support to help with this project.
