MENTONE – Progress on an 11-mile paving project on Ind. 25 has reached the half-way point.
A Phend and Brown Inc. work crew put down fresh asphalt on the western lane of Ind. 25 about a mile east of Mentone Tuesday afternoon.
By Wednesday, the crew was in downtown Mentone. Paving is expected to continue for a few more weeks along the state highway. Brent Lamb, project engineer, said the work is a few weeks ahead of schedule.
