Indiana Blood Center: Blood supply dangerously low, need donors

The Indiana Blood Center reports dangerously low supply levels.

The organization blames the cold weather for a decrease in blood donors who came to their Bleed Blue Blood Drive event at Lucas Oil Stadium on December 16.

WISH-TV reports normal inventory levels average more than 2,000 units daily, but the Center says they only have 700 units of blood on the shelves as of Monday.

Because of the shortage, they need blood donors to step up. Find out how and where to donate at IndianaBlood.org
