Indiana Ranks 6th In The Nation For Black Homicide Victimization

A new study reveals some discouraging news on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It turns out the State of Michigan has the 3rd highest black homicide victimization rate in the nation, as a rate of nearly 35 percent per 100-thousand. Indiana has the sixth highest rate at more than 25 percent. That is according to a new analysis by the Violence Policy Center. On a national scale, blacks account for half of the number of homicides in the figures just released and handguns were used in most of the killings.
