Dozens of northern Indiana roads and highways are blocked due to flood waters. Police agencies report drivers are ignoring closures and getting stuck in flood waters.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Ted Bohner says you need to use common sense when you see barricades.

“We’ve had many people drive around the signs, and then they have to turn around, or they’re getting stuck in flooded water,” he explains.

He says if you see standing water on a road that isn’t blocked, you should not drive through it.
