An industrial spill from the old Arnolt building was narrowly avoided.

Warsaw Police were responding to a trespassing report on January 22 when they realized scrappers had been attempting to steal copper coils from the property, causing oil to leak from a transformer.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory was able to contain the spill and shut off the source of the oil.

Several suspects face serious charges in connection to the incident.

All traces of a potentially toxic chemical known as PCB have since been removed by EPA contractors.
