IU Taking Steps To Prevent Sexual Assault On University Campuses

Indiana University officials say they're taking steps to prevent and respond to sexual assault on the university's seven campuses, including I.U.S.B and I.P.F.W. School officials say IU's Student Welfare Initiative will help ensure its responsiveness to federal laws, including Title 9 and the Campus SaVE Act, which require schools to take action to respond promptly and effectively to sexual violence and harassment. The university has created a council whose goal is to greatly improve coordination, provide better consistency and assist campus communication about sexual assault.
