June’s First Friday Event to Highlight Local Talent

WARSAW, Ind. – The First Friday event in June will highlight local talent, according to organizers. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will be held on Center Street and Buffalo Street in downtown Warsaw.

This year, First Friday events are being organized by Main Street Warsaw, a division of the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, and Kensington Media (home of radio stations 107.3 WRSW, Willie 103.5 and News Now Warsaw).

“Paula Bowman did such a fabulous job organizing these events downtown up until this point,” said Rob Parker, Executive Director of the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce. “We were happy to take the fabulous local gathering that she worked hard on and continue her mission.”

The event in June is seeking to highlight local talent of all kinds; jugglers, singers, dancers, comedians, etc.

“This will be a great way to bring the community together and support all of our local performers,” said Kris Lake, Director of Programming for Kensington Media and member of the First Friday Steering Committee. “We realize we have so much talent in our area that needs to be showcased and next month’s First Friday will do just that.”

Prizes will be awarded to individuals who compete in the Warsaw’s Got Talent. Voting will be conducted on site by a panel of judges. Categories for Youth (12 and under), intermediate (ages 12-17), Adult (ages 18+) and Group Acts will be judged.

Interested individuals are asked to pre-register by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022. A video example of your ‘audition’ is also being required.
