Richards has been working in and shaping the radio landscape since he was just 13 years old.

Known widely across regional radio, his career milestones and contributions have long been celebrated by colleagues, family, and fellow broadcast professionals.

Richards spent nearly 40 years with Federated Media, rising from an on-air personality and program director to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing 17 stations across northern Indiana.

Richards later founded Kensington Digital Media and continued investing in local radio while also serving the industry as president of the Indiana Broadcasters Association.

Kensington Digital Media launched 15 years ago and includes three stations in Warsaw — 107.3 WRSW, Willie 103.5, and News Now Warsaw.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals for exceptional meritorious service, contributions to or achievements in the field of broadcasting in Indiana.
