Kids Market Semi-Annual Sale To Take Place This Weekend

Since its first sale in fall 2001, Kids Market has donated over $202,000 to local organizations.
To continue the organization’s efforts in helping the women and children of Kosciusko County, Kids Market Inc., a non-profit organization, will host its semi-annual sale Sept. 19 at Rodeheaver Auditorium, on the campus of Grace College, Winona Lake.
During the Kids Market Sale, consignors are able to sell their items and make a percentage of the sale without having a garage sale. Items that don’t sell have the option of being donated to organizations within Kosciusko County that Kids Market has adopted, according to a provided press release.
Once the bills are paid and the organization has budgeted for the next sale, the money that is left over is given away. After the spring 2015 sale, Kids Market Inc. donated $11,537 to non-profit charities Project Independence, Beaman Home, Heartline, Lakeland Youth Center, New Beginnings Preschool, North Webster Day Care, Baker Youth Club, Teen Parents Succeeding, Little Lambs Preschool, Joe’s Kids and YMCA.
Families that the organization has adopted get the chance to come and pick out clothing for free. Area organizations come to collect multiple boxes of donated items. The organization hears stories about how this sale has helped the women and children that live in the community.
The press release states, “The hard work is worth it when the organization meets with the local non-profits to make the financial donations to their organizations and gets to see firsthand how much the sale impacts moms and their children in our community.”
