Kindred Hospice patient reunited with family thanks to Dream Foundation

A 68-year-old patient at Kindred Hospice in Rochester is having her dreams come true.

Jo Gingrich is the recipient of a Dream Foundation effort to grant a Dream to a terminally-ill adult, as she is afflicted with ALS.

Jo wanted to see her daughter and two grandchildren from Texas. She will be getting that opportunity Friday morning at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

The Dream Foundation arranged and paid for flights to bring the family members to see Jo, who is unable to travel due to her illness.

“I feel part of me is missing, she is my blood and part of someone I loved and missed, her daddy. My dream to see her and her children to make memories and to hold my grand baby is my dream close to my body and heart,” says Jo.

“At least my granddaughter would have fresher memory of me and for her to hear how much I love her and my grandson won’t remember me…He does resemble his grandpa a lot and that would help my heart. It gives me peace seeing him in her.”
