In a White House press release on Wednesday, President Trump announced Indiana agribusinessman Kip Tom, chairman of Tom Farms in Leesburg, will be accorded the rank of Ambassador during his tenure of service as United States Representative to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture at the Department of State.

His agribusiness experience includes work in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Mr. Tom serves on the boards of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Future Farmers of America Foundation, and the National 4-H Foundation. He is the recipient of the 2015 Agriculture Future of America Ag Leader of the Year Award.
