Kosciusko Community Hospital offering 3D mammograms in Warsaw

The Kosciusko Community Hospital is now offering 3D mammograms, beginning this week.

A press release from the Lutheran Network hospital says the latest technology is clinically proven to increase the detection of breast cancers while decreasing the number of women asked to return for additional testing.

Kosciusko Community Hospital CEO Kirk Ray says they continually want to enhance the level of quality care being offered.

“This investment is made so that we can offer the very best mammography technology that can improve the health of those we serve.”

Kosciusko Community Hospital Women’s Imaging Supervisor Tracie Wise tells the Times-Union that by implementing the 3D mammograms here in Warsaw, they want to provide the most advanced technology locally.

“I want to encourage women over 40 or anyone with a history of breast cancer to schedule a mammogram,” adds Wise.
