Kosciusko County Council and Commissioners to hold join meeting on proposed sewer district

The Kosciusko County Council and Commissioners will hold a joint meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in the third floor courtroom at the county courthouse.

The meeting will be in reference to the proposed regional sewer district (RSD) for Tippecanoe and Chapman lakes areas.

The meeting will be open to the public, and will precede the council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m.

The joint meeting is part of the state-mandated process for filing a RSD petition with the state.

A vote is expected to take place on whether or not to forward the petition for formation of the RSD to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

Because there was an opportunity for public comment at the mandated meeting Sept. 29 in North Webster, County Attorney Chad Miner said he did not anticipate an opportunity for public comment at the joint meeting.
