The June First Friday in Warsaw is labeled as “Celebrating America’s Veterans,” where veterans who have honorably served since May 8th of 1975 will be honored and recognized.

Ken Locke with Kosciusko Honor and Remember says the group has also been asked by a private donor to conduct a “roll call” for any and all World War II veterans in Kosciusko County. Locke says the donor wants to compile a list of those WWII vets that are still living in the area.

The June First Friday will be held on June 4th starting at 5 PM in downtown Warsaw, with the Lake Area Community Band performing at 6:30 PM and the veterans roll call at 7:30 PM. If you know a World War II veteran, contact Kosciusko Honor and Remember at 574-268-7697 or visit the group on Facebook.
