WINONA LAKE — Kosciusko County homeschool families are invited to participate in
Homeschool Environmental Exploration Days: Wacky Wetlands, a Lilly Center pilot
education program on October 13 and 14.
The program is free, but availability is limited; register on the Lilly Center’s website: lakes.grace.edu/events.
Wacky Wetlands introduces students ages 3-14 to one of Indiana’s most important
ecosystems: wetlands.
During this exploratory morning, registered students and their parents will hike to a wetland, perform hands-on activities, and play a high-energy game. Together, families will discover the value of Kosciusko County’s wetlands and their importance to local lakes and streams.
Students ages 3-8: Oct. 13 from 9:15-11:30 a.m. You can RSVP here.
Students ages 9-14: Oct. 14 from 9:15-11:30 a.m. Older students will also rotate
among three stations, including a wetland hike, “Swamp Shuffle” game, and a
watershed exploration project. You can RSVP by clicking here.
