Local unemployment remains unchanged from February to March

Unemployment levels have been holding steady over the past few months on the local level.

The latest data released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on Monday shows Kosciusko County unemployment at 3.7 percent, which is unchanged from February. Labor force numbers, which includes those employed and those seeking employment was 55 people lower than February, sitting at 40,562.

No changes in unemployment rates were seen in Elkhart, Marshall or Noble Counties, while some slight improvement was seen in Fulton and Wabash Counties. Whitley County saw a slight uptick of only one-tenth of a percentage point.
