Lt. Governor Eric Holcomb issues statement on drop in unemployment

INDIANAPOLIS – Lt. Governor Eric Holcomb, the Republican nominee for Governor of Indiana, issued this statement following news that Indiana’s unemployment rate dropped to 4.5 percent.

“Indiana’s economy is booming, and today’s news is further evidence of just that.  With the resiliency of the Hoosier spirit, coupled with the incredible business climate created under 12 years of responsible leadership, it’s no wonder Indiana’s unemployment rate has dropped yet again.  More Hoosiers are going to work than ever before, wages are going up, and our cost of living remains incredibly low.  In Indiana, we’re not just competing – we’re winning.

“As the next Governor of our great state, I will continue to focus on economic development to make Indiana the best state to live, work, play and stay.”
