Ambulances were diverted from Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne on Tuesday after an attempted hack.

All phones and computers were shut down at Lutheran Hospital after what LHN spokesman Geoff Thomas is calling a virus, according to ABC 21.

The Network’s Information Technology staff successfully stopped the virus from infecting the local network, but as a precaution, all elective cases were cancelled for the rest of the day and will be rescheduled.

Lutheran Hospital DID remain open, with walk-in patients still provided care.

The hospital returned to normal operations at 6:30pm Tuesday.

We’ve reached out to Kosciusko Community Hospital to find out if they were affected by the virus, but as of Wednesday morning had not received a response.
