A man is in custody after leading deputies on a high-speed chase yesterday.

The pursuit started in Wabash County and headed eastbound on U.S. 24 coming into Huntington County. It was there that deputies placed stop sticks at U.S. 24 and 750 W.

Despite hitting the stop sticks, the vehicle continued eastbound at speeds over 100 miles per hour.

Huntington city officers were standing by with stop sticks at the city limits hoping to stop the vehicle before entered into a congested area and more traffic that could cause serious injuries.

After the stop sticks were hit, the driver stopped his vehicle due to flat tires.

Several officers on scene ordered the driver out of the vehicle at gun point.

He was then transported back to Wabash County to be charged.
