Man refuses to confront police following domestic dispute

 FORT WAYNE, Ind.  – A man is now in custody after barricading himself in an apartment for several hours, writes Heather Starr (WOWO). Sunday morning Fort Wayne Police responded to a domestic dispute located on the block of Serenity Drive. 

The man refused to exit the apartment door as police continued talking to him. There were numerous failed attempts at calling his cell phone. Fort Wayne Police’s Emergency Services, Crisis Response teams, and Air Support unit arrived at the scene. 

The man jumped out of the second-story apartment window and was quickly taken into custody. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries according to Heather Starr (WOWO). 

Starr writes, “The incident is under investigation by The Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.”
