Man Sentenced For Meth Explosion

It's a sentence of 30 years, with five suspended, for an Elkhart man who admitted to cooking meth after he caused an explosion at a Jackson Street home. 49 year-old Randolf Sargent pleaded guilty to dealing in meth back in June. He was arrested last year after being hospitalized for burns. Elkhart police and fire crews were called to the address earlier that day for reports of an explosion and a fire, where investigators found items used in the manufacturing of meth.
