Manchester University student from Warsaw to speak on global citizenship

A student from Warsaw will be speaking at Manchester University.

Peter Shepherd is a senior at MU and is credited with reviving German language study at the school.

In his presentation called “Manchester to Marburg: One Senior’s Story of Fulfilling and Owning his Best Self”, Shepherd will share what it means to study German in the 21st century.

The professional sales major with a German minor will talk about his experiences studying abroad in Vienna, Austria and Marburg, Germany and how it helped shape his views about global citizenship and international business.

The speech comes exactly one month before he is set to graduate. It’s part of a Senior Series tradition at Manchester that allows graduation seniors to create a program on a topic of their choosing.

The presentation is free to attend and open to the public on Thursday April 19 at 7 p.m. in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus.
