Manchester University’s Pharmacy Program Now Fully Accredited

Manchester University received word this month that their Pharmacy Program is now fully accredited by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education, a huge milestone for the University. A pharmacy program can be fully accredited only after it graduates its first class. The Lilly Endowment awarded Manchester $35 million to launch the pharmacy program in Fort Wayne in 2010. It was the largest single gift in the University’s history.

Thanks to that donation and the efforts of President Emerita Jo Young Switzer who oversaw the addition of the Fort Wayne campus and the Doctor of Pharmacy program during her trans-formative tenure. A press release from Manchester University says, “Manchester University is now delivering a high-quality, fully accredited pharmacy education that is equipping our graduates for lives of ability and conviction that will change the world.”
