Marjorie Sarah (Bethune) Enloe

Marjorie Sarah (Bethune) Enloe passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The Lord blessed her with 95 years on this Earth before she went home to Heaven.

She was born on February 13, 1927 in Mountain Grove, Missouri.  Marjorie was one of eight children, and the only girl, born to Mary Violet (Davis) Bethune and Roland Arthur Bethune.  At the age of 14, after a friend invited Marjorie to a church youth group, she was saved and from that time forward she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and she faithfully served her Savior.

When Marjorie graduated from High School she continued on to Seattle, Washington to attend Bible College.  God’s plans were always present in her life and that’s where she met the love of her life.  At the young age of 19, Marjorie was married on July 21, 1946 to Leonard Amos Enloe in Winlock, Washington.  They enjoyed 57 years of ministry together before he passed away on December 8, 2003.

She was always at her husband’s side and supported him wherever the Lord led them to serve.  Marjorie loved being a minister’s wife and mother and raised her family as they pastored in Washington State, Montana, South Dakota and finally Indianapolis for 25 years before retiring from the ministry.  She enjoyed her last few years at Crestwood Village in Indianapolis and made many new friends during her stay.  Throughout her life Marjorie enjoyed reading, especially the Bible.  She was a loving wife, mother, and a wonderful grandmother who just LOVED her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Those who will be missing her in the days to come are three daughters, Sandra Boe (Indianapolis, Indiana), Patricia (Ron) Redpath (Warsaw, Indiana) and Janice Hardin (Indianapolis, Indiana).  Also surviving are eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Dale Boe in 2018, one grandson in 2004 and seven brothers.

Friends and family are invited to visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Faith Community Church, 6801 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.  Marjorie’s life will be celebrated with a private family entombment that will take place on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
