Mary A. Kendrick

Mary A. Kendrick, a longtime resident of Kosciusko County, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2023. She was 84 years old.

Born outside of Prestonsburg, Kentucky on May 28, 1938, Mary was the daughter of William and Pearlie (Prater) Hall. She spent much of her youth and her early adult life in the Prestonsburg area, moving to Indiana in the late 60s. She was married to Carl Kendrick in Laketon on December 15, 1969; Carl survives.
A woman who knew most everybody, Mary was easy to talk with and made friends easily. She had a servant’s heart and helped others whenever she could. She was a longtime member of God’s Highway to Heaven and founding member of Early Apostolic Training Center where she also served as Deacon. She liked garage sales, finding bargains at Goodwill and was a collector of both thimbles and marbles. More than anything Mary loved her family and the Lord.
Those who survive with memories to cherish include her children: James (Henrietta) Pennington of  Prestonsburg , Wayne (Pam) Pennington of  Prestonsburg, Millard (Lynn) Pennington of  Prestonsburg, Maudie (Doug) Elliott of Claypool, Greg Pennington of Warsaw, Carl (Tammy) Kendrick of Claypool; and siblings Frank (Mary) Hall of Palestine, and Noama Wagner of Pierceton. Grandchildren: Michael, Misty, Tasha, Robin, Tavis, Heather, Kason, Autumn, Travis, Sarah, Tyler, and Shay. She is also survived by her husband, Carl Kendrick; 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tavis Pennington; daughter, Kellie Warner; four brothers and a sister.
