McConnell files paperwork, seeks candidacy for Kosciusko County Commissioner Middle District

Local attorney, Travis J. McConnell, has filed the paperwork required to establish an exploratory committee for his candidacy, as a Democrat, in the upcoming election for the office of County Commissioner for the Middle District of Kosciusko County.  Heather Smith, Business Banker from 1st Source Bank, is serving as the Committee Treasurer.

McConnell has practiced law for over a decade.  In addition to practicing personal injury law, he serves as a public defender for those citizens who cannot afford to hire an attorney in Kosciusko Superior Court 2.

Travis is active in the community.  He is a former Board Member and President of the Beaman Home, former Board Member of Gradway, and former Board Member of the Northern Indiana Maternal Child Health Network.  Travis currently serves on the Warsaw Morning Optimist Club Board, the Sheriff Merit Board, and is the current President of One Warsaw, a community organization that promotes varying viewpoints and seeks to heal divides in the community.

He has the support of his amazing wife, Sara, with whom he has two wonderful children.  He is excited for the opportunity to provide an additional point of view to our community and help to bring our community together.
