Milford Food Bank Breaks Ground for New Building

Milford Food Bank has broken ground for its new facility.

Volunteers, staff, board members, community members, and supporting businesses gathered Thursday to celebrate the moment. Board President Joe Shetler shared plans for the building and thanked companies that donated time and materials to make the project happen.

The new 14,000 square foot facility will provide a substantial increase in food storage capacity and packaging capabilities, and organizers believe the location and features will make their process more efficient.

Milford Food Bank’s capital campaign to raise $1 million for the project is at about 80% to its goal.
