WARSAW — A fire at the old RR Donnelley and Sons plant on Old Road 30 was limited to a tank and not part of the building itself, according to information provided by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory.

Crews were alerted at about 3:12 p.m. after a storage tank that was being removed by a demolition company and included a “residual product” inside the tank caught fire, a news release said.

The immediate area was air monitored by fire department personnel.

The surrounding area and area downwind were deemed safe, the news release said.

WWFT was on scene for approximately 3 hours and was assisted at the scene by Winona Lake Fire Department, Atwood Fire Department, Kosciusko County EMA, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, and Warsaw Police Department.

No injuries were reported.
