NEWS
– Former Warsaw High School Athletic Director Dave Fulkerson has passed away. Fulkerson was best known for hiring Al Rhodes, who went on to win 405 games and the 1984 state title as boys basketball coach, and Will Wienhorst who won 316 games as girls basketball coach and led the Lady Tigers into 2 state championship games. He was responsible for bringing Phil Jensen to Warsaw as football coach. Jensen is currently #2 on the all time wins list. He also won 2 Division II titles while at the Univ. of Evansville.
– Pitchers and catchers report to spring training today for the Reds, White Sox, Indians and Tigers. Training camp for the World Champion Cubs begins tomorrow.
– Congratulations to Grace College Public Address announcer Paul DeRenzo for 30 years in that duty at the school. He was honored Saturday at half time of the game with Spring Arbor.
