More DNA Tests Needed To Identify Burn Victim

More DNA testing is needed as an autopsy on the body found in the rubble of a fire at a home along U.S. 31 has failed to answer most questions, including the victim's identity or how the person died. St. Joseph County Metro Homicide investigators say the body, found in the pole barn, was far too decomposed to determine an identity, let alone whether it was that of a man or woman. The two fires, which erupted around 2 o'clock, Monday morning, consumed the structures in the 62000 block of U.S. 31…and are considered suspicious in nature. The blaze is said to have been so intense, a neighboring home was damaged. Police, so far, have not located the owner of the home, 61 year-old Andy Horvath. According to investigators, he's recently threatened to kill his wife, who obtained a protective order against him.
