Five drivers were arrested for operating while intoxicated in Marshall County Friday night as part of a saturation patrol and DUI checkpoint.

Troopers also made arrests for possession of drugs and operating while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years of age in the vehicle.

Indiana State Police says the goal of the sobriety checkpoints is to take dangerous drivers off the road.

83 cars in total passed through the checkpoint.
