Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Tuesday Night Crash

TIMES UNION REPORTS – A motorcyclist was airlifted in critical condition after an accident Tuesday night south of Warsaw.

Nicholas Moore, 22, of Winona Lake, suffered head trauma, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:03 p.m. Tuesday on CR 250S, east of Ind. 25, in Wayne Township. A Lutheran Hospital spokeswoman said Moore was “critical and stable” as of 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Moore was traveling west on CR 250S on a 2000 Yamaha XVS motorcycle, according to the preliminary results of the investigation, the release states. Although the exact circumstances of the collision remain “unclear,” the motorcycle was laid over and slid along the road surface, the release states. Moore was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered head injuries.

Along with KCSO, responding agencies included Warsaw Police Department, Lutheran EMS, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Lutheran Air Ambulance.
