Anthony Rose of Nappanee never expected to be a winner, and now he’s the Hoosier Lottery’s latest $1 million Blowout 2nd Chance promotion winner.

Rose, along with four others, entered the Hoosier Lottery’s $1 Million Blowout 2nd Chance promotion at HoosierLottery.com. Each of the contestants enjoyed the experience of having their second chance at $1 million.

The five finalists submitted nonwinning $30 $1 Million Blowout Scratch-offs into the myLOTTERY 2nd Chance promotion for a chance to win $500 and an entry into the $1 million drawing.

The five finalists waited anxiously at the Indianapolis St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Parade and Tent Party to see whose name would be drawn. When Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah Taylor pulled out the winner, it was Rose’s name that was announced.

“I was prepared to congratulate one of the other finalists,” Rose said. He called his wife, who was at home during the drawing.  “She was crying, and she started to make me cry.”

Players still have time to enter for the final $1 million 2Chance drawing by entering nonwinning $30 $1 Million Blowout Scratch-offs. The last entry deadline is June 30. Overall odds are 1 in 7.73. 2nd Chance promotion odds are dependent upon the number of entries received.
