NET 43 has made another set of drug-related arrests.

This time Kosciusko County’s unified narcotics unit took two people into custody in Milford after a covert criminal investigation which started after the agency received numerous tips. The operation included surveillance and undercover work, which led to the authorities obtaining a search warrant for a residence on Turkey Creek Drive.

Officers used that search warrant on May 9 and located a stolen firearm, paraphernalia and methamphetamine inside the house.

SWAT officers also discovered two children in the house and placed them into protective custody with the Indiana Department of Child Services.

38-year-old Eric McFarland and 29-year-old Whitney Schwab were detained on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and dealing and possession of meth. McFarland is also charged with theft and unlawful possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon. Schwab faces two charges for neglect of a dependent.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Police Department, Indiana State Police and Lutheran EMS assisted with the operation.
