New COVID cases reported over the weekend, overall positive rate falls

The percentage of positive cases of COVID-19 in Indiana continued on a decline over the weekend.

In their Sunday update, the Indiana State Department of Health said based on 140,029 tests that have been completed, there is a 17.2 percent positive rate in the state. 402 new COVID cases were accounted for on Sunday, bringing the state total up to 24,126. 17 more deaths were also reported, bringing the total up to 1,379 across the state.

Locally, Kosciusko County had two more positive cases to bring the total up to 41. Elkhart County reported 74 more cases, while Noble County had five additional cases and Marshall and Fulton Counties reported two more cases each.
