Plans were unveiled at Tuesday afternoon’s Warsaw Parks and Rec Board for the new Parks building, which will be right across the street from Central Park at Indiana and Fort Wayne Streets.

The building will include the parks maintenance facility, several offices and space for employee’s tools and locker rooms for belongings. Parks Superintendent Larry Plummer said the new building will bring in some savings:

Along with the new Parks building, designs were shown for new playground equipment at Ker Park on Market Street, which is expected to be built next spring. Plummer mentioned that a grant is being applied for the new park equipment, which will get the city roughly $104,000 worth of playground equipment for just over $52,000.
