Nextremity Names Deeter CEO



Nextremity Solutions Inc. announced this week that its board of directors has named Nick A. Deeter to serve as the company’s CEO and board chairman.
Deeter brings more than 30 years of business leadership and health care industry experience, starting his orthopaedic career with Zimmer. He founded OrthoPediatrics Corp. in 2006, an orthopaedic company focused on implants for children. Prior to forming OrthoPediatrics, he spent seven years with DePuy Orthopaedics, where he was responsible for health care compliance administration, medical affairs and Orthogenesis (custom devices). 
Deeter will remain on the board of directors for Cardinal Services and on the board of trustees for Howe Military Academy. 
“I am excited to lead Nextremity Solutions through its next growth phase. The foot and ankle segment of the orthopaedic industry continues to grow rapidly. The intellectual property behind the company’s products is second to none,” Deeter said in a provided release. 
Rod K. Mayer will remain the president of Nextremity Solutions Inc., working in tandem with Deeter. Mayer will have a heavy focus on product development, sales and marketing, according to the release, as well as devoting himself to building and maintaining surgeon relationships. 
“Having known Nick since our high school years of being teammates on the football field, I am positive that our combined skillsets and passion for excellence will bring strength and an overall commitment to executing on our strategy of becoming recognized as the leader for innovative product development in the minds of surgeons in the global foot and ankle market,” Mayer is quoted as saying. “I look forward to a very exciting and productive 2015 and to a successful journey as we continue to build our business together, one relationship at a time.”

As successful entrepreneurs, in the Orthopaedic Capital of the World, we were destined to eventually co-labor together, to help our local community during uncertain times and advance the care of individuals, worldwide, with foot and ankle problems,” Deeter said. 
Nextremity Solutions is a privately held medical device company headquartered in Warsaw that offers  solutions and approaches to foot and ankle surgical intervention. The company’s procedure-ready, sterile implant systems for the correction of foot and ankle pathologies include uniquely precise, proprietary technology designed to achieve repeatable and superior clinical outcomes, according to the release.
