Nine people arrested in North Judson after police find 3-year-old locked in box

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. – Nine people were arrested Wednesday after police found a 3-year-old girl who was being held inside a locked wooden box in North Judson.

North Judson is located about 65 miles west of Warsaw.

On Tuesday, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office received information about possible child abuse in the area of County Road 750 West and County Road 800 North. Officers were told that a child was being kept in a box during the evening and for extended periods of time, according to our reporting partners at WNDU.

A search warrant was executed early Wednesday morning. A 3-year-old girl was found in a plywood box in the living room of the home.

Deputies found multiple people in the residence and in a vehicle and camper on the property. Nine adults were taken into custody and transported to the Pulaski County Jail.

Five kids and the victim were found inside the home. They were taken in to custody by the Pulaski County Indiana Department of Child Services.
