No injuries after train collides with semi in Fort Wayne

Nobody was hurt after a train collided with a semi in Fort Wayne this morning.

Fort Wayne Police Dispatch says it happened at around 8am in the 1600 block of Winter Street, just west of South Anthony Blvd.

The semi had apparently been stuck in ice at the railroad crossing for “a while,” according to Fort Wayne’s NBC, but the driver never bothered to notify authorities, and thus nobody was able to get word to the train’s engineer before it slammed into the front of the truck.

Traffic was blocked in the area until crews were able to clear the tracks.
