North Webster Friends of the Library to hold book sale

people spending more time at home these days, reading has become a popular form of entertainment. If you are running low on reading material, stock up at Friends of the North Webster Community Public Library book sale Thursday and Friday, Sept. 24 and 25.

The book sale will take place in the library’s event room where hundreds of good quality, gently used books, DVDs and puzzles will be available for purchase. Buyers will find a wide variety of books for adults and children including fiction and non-fiction along with popular authors.

Movie DVDs for all ages will also be for sale. Sale hours are 10 a. m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday. Proceeds from the sale go to support the work of the library.

If you have put on a few “corona-pounds” during recent months, you can move to take them off at the library’s weekly Let’s Move dance/exercise class that starts 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1. During the weekly class, dance videos will be displayed on a large TV screen while participants dance along as a form of exercise. It is a fun way to work out learning new dance steps as well. Open to adults of all ages and fitness levels, the class is free and will be held in the library’s south meeting room where there is plenty of room to dance and social distance. No pre-registration is required.

North Webster Community Public Library invites the public to an open house 2 to 4 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 4 to explore its new facility. Light refreshments and building tours will be available. However, check out services and public computers will not be available during the open house. To protect the health and safety of all, facial coverings and social distancing are expected.
