Notre Dame's win against Navy came with a hefty price as middle linebacker Joe Schmidt is out for the season because of a fractured ankle that Coach Brian Kelly says needs surgery. So, how big of a loss is Schmidt to the team? Kelly said, Sunday, everyone will have to pick up the slack because Schmidt did most of the work. Kelly also complimented Schmidt's leadership and communication abilities. Notre Dame takes on Arizona State this coming Saturday.
