Notre Dame Quarterback DeShone Kizer declares for NFL Draft

SOUTH BEND – Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer is taking his talents to the National Football League. The junior QB made the announcement in the video below, simply saying “NFL bound” at the end.

Kizer has been a projected 1st round selection for much of the season, despite his struggles in the 2nd half of the season. He still ended up throwing for 26 touchdowns to just nine interceptions and nearly had 3,000 yards passing, completing shy of 60% of his passes.

Junior Brandon Wimbush becomes the favorite to lead the Fighting Irish in 2017. He didn’t play at all in 2016 and will still have three years of eligibility because of careful management.
