Oktoberfest/50 Men Who Cook huge success for KC Riley’s Kids Fund

The Kerlin Family of Businesses and 107.3 WRSW had a huge turnout for the first annual Oktoberfest/50 Men Who Cook cooking contest and  celebration in downtown Warsaw Saturday.

Over 750 people came out to raise money for the KC Riley’s Children’s Fund.  Admission was $10 at the gate with all proceeds going to the KC Riley’s Kids Fund, however several community members chose to donate more money directly to the fund.

Attendees were given ten tickets with their admission to vote for their favorite dish of the night.  Tim Kelsey was the overall winner with the most votes for his bacon wrapped stuffed chicken thighs.

After a vote, the Cubs baseball game was aired live on a monster board television, selected over the Notre Dame football game. The band Pick Slide rocked the night away.

A total of $7,000 was raised through our local community with all of the proceeds going to help Kosciusko county families that utilize Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

107.3 WRSW has already started planning next year’s Oktoberfest which will be even bigger and better.
